South Hackensack NJ, Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo announced the investigation into the death of Ismael Fajardo (an 18-year-old male) of 12 Hoffman Street, South Hackensack, N.J. The investigation is being conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti, the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office under the direction of Sheriff Anthony Cureton, and the South Hackensack Police Department under the direction of Chief Joseph Terraccino.
On Saturday, April 27, 2019, residents of 12 Hoffman Street, South Hackensack placed a 911 call requesting medical assistance for an adult male who had been stabbed in the residence. Patrol officers were dispatched and found Ismael Fajardo lying in a second floor bedroom, unresponsive. Fajardo suffered apparent sharp force injuries/stab wounds to his torso. Fajardo was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased. An autopsy conducted on Fajardo confirmed that the cause of death was a stab wound to the chest and heart.
At this time, the investigation into the death of Ismael Fajardo is ongoing and no one has been charged.
