Bergen Rapid Deployment Team Worked the Malls This Past Weekend

Paramus NJ, if you noticed a large police presence in the malls over the weekend according to the  Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office this past weekend, RDT was on duty. Rapid Deployment Team will be at area malls sporadically to enhance security throughout the holiday season.

The Rapid Deployment Team serves Bergen County and its 70 municipalities (the largest county in NJ with almost 1 million residents) to mobilize special resources as needed, or in proactive ways.

Rapid Deployment Team is a “Shared Services” project by Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, select municipal police departments, and the State of New Jersey to multiply resources.

Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office detectives assigned to Rapid Deployment Team are specially trained in community policing, patrol, and counter-terrorism, as well as other backgrounds that make them highly useful and very effective.
