  1. Nice job for all those involved in solving this hit and run accident.

  2. And the people screamed NO when David Bolger wanted to fund the purchase and installation of CCTV cameras throughout the Central Business District.

  3. Let’s get a name…and the town of residence…

  4. Several news outlets have identified the individual charged as Rafael Ramos, age 47, of Midland Park, NJ.

  5. No one wants to live in Bolgerville….don’t anything from him.

  6. This happened outside the CBD.

  7. RE: “And the people screamed NO when David Bolger wanted to fund the purchase and installation of CCTV cameras throughout the Central Business District.
    .
    STILL NO.
    .
The cost still does not justify any benefits.
Don’t sell your freedom for security.

    .

  8. Nice job on the arrest.

  9. I never understand the anti-surveillance stance of people. It is surveillance of public space. What is the difference between a camera and a cop? The ONLY difference is the camera works 24/7, is not prone to bias, and doesn’t take sick days.

  10. Is there any No right on Red signage at the top of the hill ?
approaching that dangerous intersection..it’s all right turners in that former far right bike lane ..

  11. The stupid bike lane is still there. Paint it out! It’s confusing to drivers.

  12. Right turn on red is permitted at that intersection.

  13. I wish we had MORE cameras. All over town. I am not doing anything wrong so I am not worried. Those who fight against the cameras have something to hide.

  14. It is time to start writing tickets for Jay walking to adults and high school students
with no exceptions.Means some police on duty in the business district will have to be on foot and out of their police cars . People are getting run over In RIDGEWOOD

Town citizens…wake up…children follow our lead and habits are formed early.

  15. Maybe those who are against cameras don’t want to be captured on video messing around with someone else’s wife or husband.

  16. I’m not thrilled with the camera idea and I am not messing around or breaking laws.

On another topic, the number of comments listed next to the original post is 3, but there are 15. This has been happening a lot. PJ, can you correct this glitch?

  17. Good point about people not wanting to be seen on surveillance cameras. Like Gwennie and Paulie, tiptoeing through the tulips.
