Christie pushing school choice
Gov. Chris Christie renewed his call Thursday for lawmakers to pass school choice legislation this spring and heaped more criticism on those who oppose his efforts, at one juncture using civil rights-era imagery to emphasize his point.
“We have people standing in the schoolhouse door saying, ‘Your future is going to be defined by your ZIP code and by your parents’ economic wherewithal,’ ” he said. “To me, that’s an obscenity.” (Porter, Associated Press)
You always go to school in your hometown or neighborhood. If you do not like the schools then demand accountability from the school board or move. I do not see what vouchers will do for anyone. Also tell big mouth this is not an obscenti.
