EAST RUTHERFORD MAN CHARGED WITH DISTRIBUTION OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY

Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Police assist East Rutherford, Lyndhurst, Woodcliff Lake, and Ramsey Police Departments, which participated in the Bergen County Cyber Crimes Task Force in arrest for Distribution Of Child Pornography.

Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo announced the arrest of DEAN M. DESROSIERS (DOB: 12/7/1969; divorced; employed as a software engineer) of 87 Mozart Street, East Rutherford, NJ on a charge of Distribution Of Child Pornography, greater than 25 videos. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti.

On Wednesday, January 23, 2019, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at the residence of Dean M. DESROSIERS in connection with a months-long Internet child pornography investigation. The investigation revealed that DESROSIERS used the Internet to distribute approximately 310 digital files depicting nude or sexually explicit prepubescent children.

As a result of the investigation, Dean M. DESROSIERS was arrested on January 25, 2019 and charged with one count of Distribution Of Child Pornography, in an amount greater than 25 videos, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4(B)5(A)iii, a 2nd degree crime. DESROSIERS is scheduled for a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ on February 13, 2019, at 8:30 a.m.

Acting Prosecutor Calo states that the charge is merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
