GLEN ROCK – North Jersey residents flocked Sunday morning to the Sri Sing Sabha Sikh temple to learn from and support the Sikh community a week after a deadly shooting in Wisconsin that killed seven people.
Members of the Glen Rock temple who acted as guides for visitors said it’s a lack of knowledge that most often creates tension and misunderstandings between Sikhs and other Americans. The open house Sunday represented an opportunity to grow and heal after last week’s killings, members said.
