I disagree with the notion that Village services have declined . I personally can’t name a service that has gone down. My block bagged and raked leaves to the curb. After the storm they were picked up. Again we raked and bagged and they were eventually picked up. None of us added to the pile as I noticed all over town. Our garbage service is still great. Those guys do a wonderful job.

Except for Grove street and a couple of other hot spots the roads appear in good condition. Crossing guards have been more attentive and the CBD has much more activity than in prior years. I don’t know what else I need or should ask for but I’m content with what we have. Albeit I’m in a modest home with relatively low taxes. So maybe the question is really, are those big houses really worth the $25,000+ per year taxes?
