Ridgewood NJ, Let us not forget that Ms. Alexandra Harwin, reported to soon be seeking election to the Ridgewood Village Council, is being backed by two (2) individuals (former Ridgewood Mayor Paul Aronsohn and former Ridgewood Village Manager Roberta Sonenfeld) who have both been fined by the State of NJ in connection with ethics violations related to misuse of public funds.

Furthermore, photographs and witnesses accounts indicate that Ms. Sonenfeld, while serving in her former official capacity of Ridgewood Village Manager, attempted to interfere with the constitutional rights of citizens to assemble in a public place (Van Neste Memorial Park) for purposes of collecting signatures in support of a referendum ballot; a ballot that Ms. Sonenfeld was opposed to.

The Ridgewood Blog suggests Ms. Harwin heed to George Washington’s famous words: “It is better to be alone than in bad company.”

Clearly, Mr. Aronsohn and Ms. Sonenfeld are considered by most Ridgewood taxpayers as being bad company.

  1. It’s time ohh it’s time Yes ma’am it’s time to turn the soup

  2. 10:25 – soup? If we get an Aronsohn candidate back in office the soup will turn to slop

  3. SUGGESTION TO MS. HARWYN: You are probably a very nice person. You are clearly a very educated person. So let me offer you some practical advice – GET OUT NOW. Having the backing of Halaby, Hauck, Pucciarelli, Sonenfeld, Voigt and Aronsohn is going to be lethal to your career. Your candidacy is already tainted beyond repair with their poison ink. But your career as an attorney could be destroyed if you are keeping company with those who have ethics violations, harrassment complaints, etc on their dossiers.

  4. Ms. Harwin’s background suggests that she is very strongly into the ‘social justice’ thing. Which would make her a natural ally of Team Hackensack.

I am surprised all the above comments trying to warn her off association with the very people she 100% wants to be affiliated with!

  5. 1:41. Have you experienced any social injustice in Ridgewood? Is that even an election issue in Ridgewood?

    1. its called CRAB in Ridgewood

  6. Right you are, James

  7. I’m a progressive liberal and I find Ms, Harwin’s past experience, at least what I could research online, to be too far left even for me. She seems ultra far left and I do not believe that this is something I want to support.

  8. Harvard B.A. complete by 2007, Yale J.D. started in 2008, social justice feminist war-making ever since. The year she took off between Havard and Yale must have been one Birkenstock-wearin’, Europe-trekkin’, America-hatin’, crunchy hot mess…

  9. Smart person needs to be smart enough to **BAIL** asap before reputation is damaged beyond repair. Merely attending a party with those fools has already made her persona non grata to a lot of smart and caring residents. For her own sake, she is strongly urged to rethink this path and turn back.

  10. @2:23, ‘Social justice’ will never be achieved in Ridgewood till we have section 8 and housing projects in town, and the town is <50% white.

That is Team Hackensack's goal. Given how successful Newark and Trenton experiments have been, there is no justice till the rest of the state is a replica of those places.
