Local Author Louisa Luisi a Ridgewood English teacher looks for funding to publish her first book

Ridgewood NJ, Louisa Luisi a Ridgewood English teacher and a director for RHS New Players Company Theatre group is looking to raise money to get her book “Your Best Coaches ” published.

As off this post she has raised over $7,285 and has 13 days to go to reach her goal of raising $12,000. “Your Best Coaches” is a 24 page full color, hardcover children’s picture book illustrated by the very talented Kika Esteves and is about young boy on a baseball team who realizes his best coaches are his mother and father. The funding drive was launched July 17th and will end August 16,2012 .

She is using the website Kickstarter to raise the funds. Kickstarter works like this : “I have 30 days and I need to raise $12,000. If I don’t raise the total amount by the end of the 30 days, this project will not be funded. Your support will help me cover various expenses including the illustrations, some legal and registration fees, PR and marketing and, of course, to get it printed and ship it out.” ( http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/490606234/your-best-coaches )

Whatever you can give between $10.00 and $1,000 will help me fund this project. And for each amount you give, you get a different reward. The awards are cumulative, so the more you give, the more you get. If I exceed my funding goal, which I hope to, I will be able to adapt and publish some of my other works ultimately creating a line of children’s books.
