We The People, Support Congresswoman Ilhan Omar

“We The People,” stand as a united front with Congresswoman Ilhan Omar against the unfair, extreme, and vicious attacks being leveled against her by the President of the United States and some of his supporters.  Ilhan Omar is a Somali-American Muslim woman duly elected in 2018 to serve as the U.S. Representative for Minnesota’s 5th congressional district.  Rep. Omar has championed the rights of immigrants, the poor and disenfranchised, as well as defended Palestine’s right to exist.  Rep. Omar has been called Anti-Semitic and ridiculously and erroneously linked to terrorism.  She has received numerous death threats since President Donald Trump posted an edited video that suggests Rep. Omar dismissed the tragic events of September 11, 2001.

Democrats Turn on Israel

the staff of the Ridgewood blog

Ridgewood NJ, Recent polls indicate Democrats are becoming more comfortable holding a skeptical view of Israel. A poll by YouGov for the Economist said just a quarter of Democrats see Israel as an ally, compared to 57 percent of Republicans.

One Democratic House candidate has pledged that she will vote against bills that include aid to Israel, denouncing what she saw as the “injustice” of Israel’s treatment of the Palestinians. Another wrote that “Israel has hypnotized the world” with its “evil doings.”Still another helped write a scathing book on relations between the United States and Israel, while Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a progressive political star expected to win a House seat in New York, condemned the “occupation of Palestine.”

There is a growing evolution in Cory’s position on Israel which is becoming more aligned with the left wing of the Democratic party.

The hearing for American ambassador-designate to Israel David Friedman at the Senate Foreign Relations Committee last week was intense. The Democratic senators came after him hard, quoting every controversial thing he’s ever said. Mind you, they couldn’t seem to find one controversial thing he’s ever done. Because no one disputes that David is an upstanding, decent man who has had caused little to no controversy. But they called him out on harsh statements he made about those he felt were not sympathetic to Israel.

But of particular note was how harshly he was treated by my friend, Senator Cory Booker, who told David over and over again that although these were just words, words matter.

Chief Rabbi Of Brussels: ‘No Future For Jews In Europe’

5:09 PM 11/25/2015

The chief rabbi of Brussels told an Israeli radio station Monday that there is no future for Jews in Europe, The Jerusalem Post reports.

Rabbi Avraham Gigi described the environment of fear in the Belgian capital since the city has been in lockdown following police terror raids across the country.

“There is a sense of fear in the streets, the Belgians understand that they too are targets of terror. Jews now pray in their homes [as opposed to at synagogues] and some of them are planning on emigrating,” Gigi said.

He explained, “Since Shabbat the city has been paralyzed. The synagogues were closed, something which has not happened since World War Two. People are praying alone or are holding small minyanim [small prayer groups] at private homes. Schools and theaters are closed as are most large stores and public events are not permitted. We live in fear and wait for instructions from the police or the government.”

Obama’s Brother Joins Hamas, Says ‘Jerusalem Is Ours; We Are Coming’

Obama’s Brother Joins Hamas, Says ‘Jerusalem Is Ours; We Are Coming’

by Shoebat Foundation on January 28, 2014 in Malik Obama

By Walid Shoebat and Ben Barrack

While in Sanaa, Yemein in 2010, President Barack Obama’s brother Malik Obama was at an event billed as the Orphans Development Fund (ODF) Conference. It’s quite the ironic title considering a group photo Malik is in that he has posted to his website. In the photo, he can be seen wearing a Hamas scarf (keffiyeh) that bears a well-known Palestinian slogan – ‘Jerusalem is ours – WE ARE COMING!’ It also includes a map of Palestine that says, ‘From the River to the Sea!’ In other words, Malik is saying, THERE IS NO ISRAEL.

Here is Malik Obama’s boss (Malik works for him officially in his capacity as IDO Executive Secretary), Suar al-Dahab during a visit to Gaza last year at a Hamas event with the group’s Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh and Muslim Brotherhood spiritual leader Yusuf al-Qaradawi. Notice he’s wearing a similar keffiyeh at a conference entitled, ‘Aiding Jerusalem and Gaza”:

Here is Malik in 2010, with al-Dahab in Khartoum, Sudan during the Islamic Da’wa Organization (IDO) conference, presided over by Sudan’s terrorist leader Omar al-Bashir, who belongs to the Muslim Brotherhood and is wanted for crimes against humanity:

Anonymous joins the legions of anti-Semites

ADL warns Jewish groups of ‘digital terrorism’
By Elise Viebeck – 04/06/15 11:30 AM EDT

The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) is warning Jewish institutions and individuals to prepare for a potential hacking campaign mounted by an affiliate of Anonymous.

The ADL said a pro-Palestinian hacking collective known as AnonGhost is threatening an “electronic Holocaust” against Jews on Tuesday, including hacks targeting individuals’ cellphones. The effort was scheduled to coincide with the celebration of Passover.

“In the past three years, anti-Israel hackers participating in this campaign have targeted Israeli sites with limited success, but they are now widening their attacks to target individual Israelis with threatening anti-Semitic rhetoric,” said Abraham H. Foxman, ADL National Director, in a statement released Saturday.

“Israel and Jewish communities worldwide should be on alert, as digital terrorism takes many forms and hackers are getting more sophisticated,” Foxman said.

The campaign — dubbed #OpIsrael on Twitter — is intended to “erase” Israel from cyberspace, according to its organizers. Anonymous and its affiliates have a history of targeting Jewish institutions over Israel’s activities in the Palestinian conflict.

Online hostilities against Israel previously spiked during a 50-day battle with Palestinians that left more than 1,500 civilians dead. Security expert Isaac Ben-Israel of Tel Aviv University said cyberattacks against Israel jumped from 100,000 to more than one million per day during the conflict.

Pelosi: Members Won’t ‘Boycott’ Netanyahu Speech. But They Might Be too Busy to Go.

Pelosi: Members Won’t ‘Boycott’ Netanyahu Speech. But They Might Be too Busy to Go.

Reps. John Lewis and G.K. Butterfield will skip the address, and Pelosi noted that lawmakers have packed schedules.

By Alex Brown

February 5, 2015 There will be no “boycott” of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech before Congress next month, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said Thursday.

But while she downplayed reports of an organized protest, she suggested some lawmakers might just be too busy to attend. And at least two Democrats have already decided they won’t be on hand.

“I don’t think anybody should use the word ‘boycott,'” Pelosi said in her weekly press conference. “When these heads of state come, people are here doing their work, they’re trying to pass legislation, they’re meeting with their constituents and the rest. It’s not a high-priority item for them.”

The Netanyahu address has drawn sharp criticism from Democrats, who view the invitation from House Speaker John Boehner as a means of undermining the Obama administration’s nuclear negotiations with Iran. The Israeli leader, many congressional Republicans, and some Democrats favor increased sanctions, but Obama has asked them to hold off until member nations of the U.N. Security Council can try to deter Iran’s nuclear ambitions at the bargaining table.

Why Does the US Media Support Palestinian Terrorists?

Why Does the US Media Support Palestinian Terrorists?
July 29, 2014 by Chip Wood

What on Earth is so wrong with the mainstream media in the United States that it can somehow find “equivalency” between the terroristic assaults Hamas leaders in the Gaza Strip have ordered against Israel and what that beleaguered country is doing to defend itself?

And in many cases, the hand-wringing, condescending blowhards in our media don’t just blame both sides equally. No, they’ve somehow decided that Israel is the real culprit in the case.

But it is not Israel that is using its civilians, including children, as a human shield for waging war. It is not Israel that has hidden its rockets and mortars in schools, hospitals and civilian homes — and then ordered civilians not to leave the area.

It is not Israel that uses ambulances to disguise its armed combatants, as it moves them from place to place.

It is not Israel that has built dozens of tunnels under the border between the two areas and that uses them to transport weapons of war. Israeli forces have even captured Hamas infiltrators emerging from a tunnel carrying tranquilizers and handcuffs. Apparently, they were hoping to kidnap some Israeli civilians or soldiers, so they could demand another prisoner exchange. (Back in 2011, Israel agreed to trade 1,000 Palestinian prisoners for Gilad Shalit, an Israeli soldier who had been kidnapped by Hamas.)

On Sunday, Hamas said it would extend a temporary cease-fire that both sides agreed to on Saturday for another 24 hours. But later that afternoon, it resumed firing rockets into Israel, claiming that Israel demonstrated “a lack of commitment” to the cease-fire.

I think you’ll agree that it’s hard to show a commitment to peace when rockets are raining down on you. The Israeli Defense Forces said in a statement: “Following Hamas’ incessant rocket fire throughout the humanitarian window, which was agreed upon for the welfare of the civilian population in Gaza, the IDF will now resume its aerial, naval and ground activity in the Gaza Strip.”

Thus far, Israeli authorities say that Hamas has launched more than 2,200 rocket attacks against them. Happily, most of them have been stopped by Israel’s very sophisticated Iron Dome defense system. Still, rocket attacks are a constant danger in the country.
