Ridgewood NJ, Ars Musica Chorale concludes its 53 rd season with A Total Embrace: Bernstein at 100, a spectacular celebration of the music of Leonard Bernstein in his centennial year. The performance will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2019, at West Side Presbyterian Church, Ridgewood, New Jersey.

Ars Musica will present a wide-ranging selection of the composer’s most popular works for chorus and orchestra, accompanied by the award-winning Adelphi Orchestra, together with our Encore Young Artist soloists and the New Jersey State Children’s Chorus. Our featured soloist
will be Lauren Worsham, soprano and 2014 Tony Award Nominee.

Ars Musica Chorale Presents Gary Thor Wedow Master Class

RIDGEWOOD NJ,Conductor Gary Thor Wedow will coach a Master Class for Ars Musica Chorale’s Encore Young Artists on Wednesday, May 8th at Unitarian Society of Ridgewood, 113 Cottage Place, Ridgewood, NJ, from 7:00-10:00 pm. Come enjoy an intimate performance of beautiful opera arias sung by our soloists.

The Master Class is open for attendance by all. We encourage avocational choir members, aspiring student singers, and music lovers to attend and enjoy a peek behind the curtain at some of NY and NJ’s most talented musicians. So bring your friends! Light refreshments will be served.

Ars Musica Chorale presents From Bach to Broadway: Organ and Songs

Ridgewood NJ, Ars Musica Chorale will present a spectacular fundraiser, From Bach to Broadway: Organ and Songs, on Saturday, April 13, 2019, 7:00-10:00 pm at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 155 Linwood Avenue, Ridgewood, NJ.

The event will feature Ars Musica Chorale’s music director James Kennerley, on organ, and the beautiful voices of our Encore Young Artists, Samina Aslam, Chad Kranak, Ravon Middlebrooks and Allison Wamser.

The evening will include hors d’oeuvres, desserts, as well as a soiree of musical entertainment. Tickets for this event are $50 and can be purchased online through April 10 at www.arsmusica.org/tickets. For more information, call 551-226-9305.

Ars Musica Chorale holds Open Sing March 12th

Ridgewood NJ, Ars Musica Chorale will be hosting an Open Sing Rehearsal, Tuesday, March 12, 2019, 7:30-10:00 pm at the Unitarian Society of Ridgewood, 113 Cottage Pl, Ridgewood, NJ, as the chorus begins working on their next concert, A Total Embrace: Leonard Bernstein at 100. All singers welcome, especially tenors and basses. The repertoire for this concert will include Chichester Psalms, the Bergen County premiere of Mass chamber version, and extracts from West Side StoryCandide and On the Town. Music will be provided for this rehearsal. The performance is May 18, 2019 with the Adelphi Orchestra and the New Jersey State Children’s Chorus.

The performance will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at West Side Presbyterian Church, Ridgewood, New Jersey.

Ridgewood NJ, Ars Musica Chorale begins its 53 rd season with Classical Splendor: works for chorus and orchestra by Mozart and Schubert, including Mozart’s Requiem. The
performance will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 10, 2018, at West Side Presbyterian Church, Ridgewood, New Jersey. The concert is given in memory of those lost
during World War I, which officially ended 100 years ago on November 11, 1918.
