Multi Vehicle Accident in Midland Park Sends Victim to Hospital

Midland Park NJ,  Midland Park Police, Midland Park EMS, and Midland Park Fire all responded to a Wednesday morning, 04/10 motor vehicle crash with personal injury at the intersection of Erie and Franklin Avenues, Midland Park. Two (2) SUVs were wrecked and removed from the scene by flatbed tow trucks. At least one (1) victim of the crash was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

UPDATE: WOMAN CHARGED WITH LEAVING THE SCENE OF A FATAL MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION IN GLEN ROCK

Glen Rock NJ, Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo announced the arrest of MARINA M. LEE (DOB: 6/18/1953; widowed; and employed as an office manager) of 100 Rock Road, #107, Hawthorne, New Jersey, on charges of Leaving The Scene Of A Fatal Motor Vehicle Collision, Endangering An Injured Victim, and Hindering Apprehension. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti and the Glen Rock Police Department under the direction of Chief Dean Ackermann.

Glen Rock Hit and Run Results in One Arrest

Glen Rock NJ, Hawthorne Police received a 911 telephone call just before 8:30 PM on Tuesday evening, 03/05, reporting the hit & run of a pedestrian in front of SuperFresh, 937 Lincoln Avenue, Glen Rock. The fleeing vehicle was described as a dark colored SUV with heavy front end damage, which was seen driving north from the crash site on Lincoln Avenue. Based on debris found at the scene, responding patrol officers determined that the vehicle was a General Motors product.

“Grandson Under Arrest Scam” Hits Midland Park

Midland Park NJ, the Midland Park Police Department has issued a Scam alert………..

An elderly resident reported to MPPD that they were contacted by a representative of the MPPD informing them a grandson was under arrest and bail money was needed for his release. The caller requested the bail payment be made with gift cards. This is SCAM…. and has been circulating lately.

Unfortunately the majority of the victims of phone scams are elderly people. So we ask that you speak to your elderly family members about the various phone scams.

If anyone you know suspects they were a victim of a phone scam please contact your local law enforcement agency.

Midland Park Multi Vehicle Collision Takes Out Railroad Signal

Midland Park NJ, Two (2) victims of a Thursday afternoon, 12/20, two (2) vehicle collision at the intersection of Goffle Road and Lake Avenue in Midland Park were transported by ambulances to The Valley Hospital with non life threatening crash related injuries. Midland Park Police, Midland Park Fire Department, Midland Park EMS, Wyckoff Police, Wyckoff EMS, and Ridgewood Police units responded to the incident. A flatbed tow truck removed both wrecks from the scene. A railroad crossing signal belonging to the New York Susquehanna & Western Railway was obliterated in the crash.

Bear Chased Through Dozens of Yards by Ridgewood ,Midland Park and Waldwick Police

Waldwick NJ, Police from Midland Park, Ridgewood, and Waldwick chased a young black bear through dozens of yards on Thursday morning, 05/24. The bear was finally treed behind home on Evergreen Street in Waldwick where it was last seen by this photographer perched there awaiting the arrival of NJDEP Fish and Wildlife Division personnel.

The bear was resting in a tree near Evergreen and Hemlock in Midland Park. Animal Control arrived at the scene to monitor the situation….
