NJGOP Chairman Steinhardt: Murphy’s ‘Progressive Idealism Is Sucking The Economic Life’ Out Of NJ

the staff of the Ridgewood blog

Trenton NJ, New Jersey’s year-over-year job growth declined to its lowest point since 2011 according to figures released by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. New Jersey’s annual job growth is now at less than one percent.

Last week Governor Murphy proposed growing the size of state government by over a billion dollars in his annual budget address.

“Sobering statistics on New Jersey’s shrinking economy keep stacking up,” said NJGOP Chairman Doug Steinhardt. “The state of New Jersey is on the path to insolvency and Governor Murphy’s progressive idealism is sucking the economic life out of it. Job killing programs like mandated wages, Obamacare fines, corporate tax hikes and billion dollar tax increases are taking a devastating toll on New Jersey’s economy, leaving struggling families with no where to turn.”

UPDATE: Progressives Push Anti-semitism in DC

photo Rep. Ilhan Omar

the staff of the Ridgewood blog

Washington DC, Progressives embrace anti-semitism . A vote on a resolution condemning anti-Semitism in response to controversial comments by Rep. Ilhan Omar is being put off amid intensifying pressure from progressives both inside and outside the House Democratic Caucus.

An array of progressive groups declared their support for Omar, while both the Congressional Black Caucus and Congressional Progressive Caucus — two of the most important factions among House Democrats — wanted more time to review the situation, lawmakers and aides said.

Bergen county has seen a significant up tick in anti-semitism , including events in the Village of Ridgewood and Ridgewood Schools.

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), one of the first two Muslim members of Congress, persists in her anti-Israel, anti-Semitic statements, even after condemnations from leading Congressional Democrats, questions are being asked about the party’s inability to take real action against the freshman firebrand.

Some of those concerns are even coming from Jews in Israel. David Rubin, American-Israeli political commentator and author of “Trump and the Jews”, has been tracking those concerns, pointing out that, “American Jews and Israelis are used to hearing the bombastic statements of anti-Semites who use Israel to get at the Jews, and Congresswoman Ilhan Omar is no exception.”

Rubin added, “What is especially troubling, however, is the impotence of leading Democrats, in confronting such provocative news voices in their party. Why, for instance, given her harsh views about Israel and Jews, does Omar continue to sit on the House Foreign Affairs Committee? What are the Democrat leaders afraid of? Last, but not least, are the Dems, with their inaction, abandoning their strong base of Jewish supporters?”

Reader says , Phil “Murphy is destroying the future of New Jersey”

Common sense and fiscally responsible management of spending with strict restraints
are things the Governor and Trenton Democrats are just incapable of doing! Murphy continues to buy the favor of those in America illegally with things like sanctuary cities & 2yrs of free Community College for them while burdening those cost on the backs of citizens & those legally here. In many case those paying for Murphy’s betrayal to us.. can’t even afford to pay for their own children’s college!! Then there’s the tax on rentals at the Jersey Shore… cutting the legs out from under all those board walk shops & house rentals!!

Murphy is destroying the future of New Jersey … Even more sick.. is the fact the Trenton Democrats are all helping him do it!!

Reader Calls Out Race Baiters

A lot of “could be” “would be” “should be” being used to slander and convict a referee who has done nothing wrong in this situation so you can satisfy your racist beliefs that white people are racist towards black people.
Lets stick to the facts:
1) The sanctioned ref was cleared and allowed to continue refereeing in good standing – this is self eveident in that the ref WAS working the match.
Also no mention of any restrictions in place on this ref was mentioned in any report of the incident (and beleive me if there were any conditions appplied to the refs standing they would have been mentioned).
2) The fact that the ref DID follow the regulations AND the prior ref DID NOT follow the rules (exposing the failures of THE OTHER ref) has no bearing nor negative impact on THIS ref.
All it does is point out that the prior ref was negligent in his duties at least one time. It may or may not indicate a larger problem with the NJSIAA. You seem to be quick to judge and condem a larger group (NJSIAA) for the sub-par performance of one member (the other ref who did not properly enforce the regulations). This is text book prejudice on your part.
You are quick to imply racist tendencies on the ref who DID follow the rules.
How about the ref that DID NOT follow the rules?
Was he racist? Did he allow a black wrestler to compete while in violation of the regulations becasue he felt blacks cannot compete on a level playing field without additional help?
Was he racist? Did he have bias towards a black wrestler and allow him to compete while in violation of the regulations because he has a hatred towards non-blacks?
Of course making these “leaps of logic” would be wrong – but it is exactly what you are doing.
THIS is the type of logic that YOU are employing by making this a racial issue and assigning bad intentions to the “white ref” who “forced a black teen” to cut his hair.
The facts remain:
1) A ref enforced the regulations
2) An athlete made the decision to compete (by having his hair cut) and not forfeit the match.
But don’t dispair, racial bias like yours will prevail. I’m highly confident that the ref will be banned or punished in some manner and the athlete and his family will get compensation of some sort.
This will still not change the facts of the case and this outcome will still be wrong.

Do You Suffer from “Trump Anxiety Disorder” ?

July 31,2018
by Rich Pezzullo and the staff of the Ridgewood blog

Ridgewood NJ, Since President Trump was elected, mental health professionals in the United States have seen an increase in patients whose stress has come from politics.

A prevalent “symptom” of the “disorder” is feeling as though the world is going to end.

Before you start saying that this is the result of President Trump’s current behaviors, consider the fact that the American Psychological Association has recorded a rise in anxiety in the Trump era, with a five per cent increase (52 to 57 per cent) in politically induced stress levels over a six-month period before, during and after the 2016 election .

As previously reported on this blog Ridgewood has become a breeding ground for what is now called ,“Trump Anxiety Disorder.”

The American Psychological Association (APA) found in a recent online survey that stress levels following the election are the highest they’ve been in a decade. And the majority of respondents reported stress over the 2016 election and the future of the nation as factors.

The APA also found a correlation between stress levels and electronic news consumption.

Therapists told CBC that in recent months, patients have indicated that separation of migrant families at the border, the retirement of Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy and Trump’s various feuds with other world leaders have all been triggers for “Trump Anxiety Disorder.”

Why is it that Erin Chung and her ever growing facebook group “women for progress” involving herself in our local election?

April 28,2018

the staff of the Ridgewood blog

Ridgewood NJ, Why is it that Erin Chung and her ever growing face book group “women for progress” is involving herself in our local election?

Her group stemmed out of the outrage people felt after Trump was elected. It claims to promote women involving themselves in politics and the political process- as long as they’re Democrats. That advances a percentage of women, but not all. Leave one behind, you may as well leave us all.

She has actively worked to promote Harwin and flat out refused to meet or speak with Susan Knudsen. How and why? Unless she has determined which person promotes her viewpoint- in our NON PARTISAN election!?

Beyond that, what stake does she have? That she has now opted to delete and censor any comments on that page which are against Harwin, she has removed members of that group who support Knudsen Sedon and she will not accept in to her group many members of our Indian community. Why? Is it her personal involvement with Phil Murphy and Paul Aronsohn? Again, this is a non partisan local election. Not the next coming of the Democratic Party.

What actually is going on behind the scenes at women for progress, and what actually is Erin Chung looking to gain from a non partisan election in a town she doesn’t live in? Another notch in the belt? She can claim she helped advance another dem woman in to an office- at ANY expense. At OUR expense. For a national political party which should not matter to any of us here in Ridgewood.

Stay out of it Erin Chung, you are taking your good idea and turning in to a power hungry, monster on the backs of neighboring towns. This is one fight you’re going to have to stay the heck out of. My guess is as smart as you are, you can’t even speak to the pressing issues here in town, and why should you?  But since you can’t, then stay out of it! And for gods sake, fact check these people. You’re involving yourself in the spread of lies and slander in the name of progressing women.
That Mayor Knudsen felt the need to graciously respond on your page- despite the utter disrespect you’ve shown HER as a woman and a community leader, says so much about her, and the campaign she and Mike Sedon are running, and not much at all about you, Erin.

Long story short, Harwin is not qualified to sit on the council in Ridgewood at this time. She isn’t versed in the issues- although she may be rehearsed. Her campaign is being run by Paul Aronsohn, Roberta Sonenfeld and Al Pucciarelli.  2 of those people have pending ethics violations with the state. All of them were seen out of their positions  in shame after they marred the landscape of this village permanently. We don’t want them back. Not in the form of Harwin, or any form for that matter.

Vote Mike Sedon and Susan Knudsen on May 8th. They’ve put in the time, they have the experience, they’re dedicated and they have not had to run a campaign based on lies and horrible slander, rather their track record of service and knowledge.

Vote Sedon Knudsen May 8th.

Cal State LA offers segregated housing for black students

‘A safe space for Black CSLA students …’

California State University Los Angeles recently rolled out segregated housing for black students.

The arrangement comes roughly nine months after the university’s Black Student Union issued a set of demands in response to what its members contend are frequent “racist attacks” on campus, such as “racially insensitive remarks” and “microaggressions” by professors and students. One demand was for a “CSLA housing space delegated for Black students.”

“[It] would provide a cheaper alternative housing solution for Black students. This space would also serve as a safe space for Black CSLA students to congregate, connect, and learn from each other,” the demand letter stated.
