Truck Picking Up Container Entangled in Power Lines Infront of Franklin School in Saddle Brook

Saddle Brook NJ, a roll-off truck became entangled in a bundle of communications & power lines on Thursday afternoon, 08/17, while picking up a full container in front of the Franklin School on Caldwell Avenue in Saddle Brook. Damage was limited to the house services supplying a single family home opposite the school. Saddle Brook Fire Department and Rochelle Park Fire Department units stood by along with a PSE&G Electric Division technician as the truck driver gingerly maneuvered the truck’s hydraulic apparatus off of the lines. No injuries were reported in the mishap. Saddle Brook Police also responded.

Unconscious Worker Rescued From Roof Of the Saddle Brook Municipal Complex

Saddle Brook Nj, Saddle Brook Police, Fire, and EMS personnel were dispatched to the roof of the Saddle Brook Municipal Complex, 55 Mayhill Street, Saddle Brook, on Tuesday morning, 04/18, in response to a 911 telephone call reporting a unconscious worker there. Saddle Brook Fire Department’s tower ladder was deployed to safely transport the victim from roof to ground. A paramedic team from Hackensack University Medical Center also responded to the incident. The victim was transported to a local hospital by a Saddle Brook EMS ambulance.

Driver Loses Control and Hits House in Saddle Brook

Saddle Brook NJ, the adult female driver of a 4-door Acura TLX sedan was injured on Sunday afternoon, 02/20, when her vehicle crashed into residential structure located in the 300 block of Schepis Avenue, in Saddle Brook. Saddle Brook Fire Department, Saddle Brook Police, Saddle Brook EMS, Saddle Brook OEM, Elmwood Park Fire Department, and Hackensack Fire Department personnel and equipment responded to the incident. The victim sustained a non-life threatening injury and was transported by ambulance to Hackensack University Medical Center’s main campus. A construction sub-code official from the Township of Saddle Brook also responded to the scene. No information was provided by police at the scene as to what caused the driver to lose control and crash her vehicle.

Wednesday Evening Hoboken Bound NJT Train Collides with SUV in Elmwood Park

Elmwood Park NJ, NJ Transit train #1277, traveling westbound from Hoboken, collided with a white colored SUV at the Midland Avenue crossing in Elmwood Park on Wednesday evening, 07/25. No injuries were reported in the mishap. The crash halted all rail traffic on the Bergen Line for over one (1) hour. A flatbed tow truck removed the SUV, which was partially wedged under the train, from the crossing. Elmwood Park Police, Saddle Brook Police, and NJ Transit Police responded to the incident.
