Ridgewood NJ, Valley Health System has selected an enterprise master patient index from NextGate to support automated medical record matching. With population health management supported with analytics becoming a top priority for many healthcare organizations, so is the need to collect data and clean it of duplicate information to better identify and manage patients across all settings of care.

That is the impetus for Valley Health System in Ridgewood, N.J., which has selected enterprise identification company NextGate as its vendor for records management, says Michael Burke, assistant vice president of information systems.

“Incomplete or inaccurate data in one’s health record can be detrimental to patient safety and a major barrier to providing highly-coordinated and individualized care,” he asserts. “Safe and effective care management hinges on the ability to view a holistic, real-time portrait of patients during every encounter. NextGate’s platform will play a significant role in our transformational journey toward improved data exchange, provider collaboration and operational efficiency for value-based care success.”

Valley , which serves 440,000 residents in northern New Jersey and southern New York using cleaner data to analyze and better understand the needs of patients with COPD, congestive heart failure and total joint replacement, and they’ll have the data to back up the level of quality given to patients and show it to insurers to get higher reimbursement.

Valley Hospital

I wouldn’t put anything past the politicians. This is not about grandstanding douche bags, this is about dirty politics I don’t give two shits what that paper says. If Valley Hospital decide to sell that property they can and no one can stop them up selling that land that they own all you people that’s stupid. Yes they are plans for the next few years is to run that has a few different medical items that’s in that article. Don’t tell me 10 years down the road if they decide to sell that land to a developer hello wake up stupid.

Reader calls ,”Valley Affordable Housing Scare ,Grandstanding”

Valley_Hospital_theridgewoodblog

“Valley is not going to build affordable housing there. That “plan” is only if they decide not to have medical facilities there. The article in the paper indicated they are never going to build housing. So all this worrying is for nothing. And all of Councilman Douchebag’s grandstanding is just that – grandstanding.”

Reader says, “leaving was the Right Thing to Do “

for sale Ridgewood_Real_Estate_theRodgewopodblog

I agree with the last comment. We also left several years ago, forced out by a job loss and increase in taxes. Lived through the Valley Expansion debacle and glad it was defeated. With all this development and that travesty of the parking garage Ridgewood will become another Montclair. It was hard to leave but with all that has happened in the past few years since our departure, I’m certain it was the right thing to do. And yes, that Town Garage has been an eyesore and issue of controversy for years. Make the speculators who bought it pay for clean up. It is not the responsibility of the tax payers but sadly it will probably end up as such
