Norwood NJ, Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo announced the arrest of JONATHAN L. SINGER (DOB: 12/04/1964; single; unemployed) of 25W Dwarskill Lane, Norwood, New Jersey on charges of Stalking and Harassment. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Robert Anzilotti and the Closter Police Department under the direction of Chief Dennis Kaine.
On Saturday, October 27, 2018, the Closter Police Department received a report that Jonathan L. SINGER stalked and harassed the victim as he walked to his place of worship, while filming the incident. He then posted the encounter to various social media platforms. As a result of an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and Closter Police Department, SINGER was arrested on Thursday, November 1, 2018, in Norwood and charged with one count of Stalking, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:12-10B, a 4th degree crime; and one count of Harassment, in violation of N.J.S.A. 2C:33-4a, a petty disorderly persons offense. SINGER was remanded to Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 1:30 p.m.
Acting Prosecutor Calo states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, and would also like to thank the Closter Police Department and Norwood Police Department for their assistance in this investigation
