Ridgewood NJ, A two-vehicle crash at the intersection of South Maple Avenue and Dayton Street in Ridgewood that sent both vehicles careening into snowbanks was just one of the numerous fender benders area police responded to during Saturday’s late afternoon/evening snowstorm.  No injuries were reported in the 6:10 PM Ridgewood crash, but both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.  No word from police on the scene if any summonses were issued.

  1. Hows the emergency money reserves holding holding out Mr. Mayor. 0% tax increase my ass.

  2. the county needs to give all the towns salt.

  3. 2/16 at 11:30 am ridgewood ave still icy from prospect to oak, so what is the excuse today mayor and acting village manager?

  4. Excuse from robo-call=no salt till Tuesday delivery.
Can we have a new thread to post the biggest pothole in town?
Winner gets to have a barbecue in it with all the flat tires, bent rims, and hubcaps.
My first nomination is north Monroe st just a ways past the womens club north.

  5. Cars were sliding onto glen from George street this morning… Stop-n-shop lot was a skating rink, no salt is to be had anywhere and word has it the county is scraping the bottom of the salt barrow….in the meantime hohokus was using backhoes to clean the strip on race track road…

  6. being that Stop n shop is private property, maybe you should call them and complain.

  7. Complain about what? There’s no salt. They’re in the same boat as everyone else.

  8. The potholes on South Van Dien remind me of Sarajevo circa 1994.

Once we get all the Cmas trees picked up we should turn our attention to the potholes.

  9. the parking lot of ‘kings’ in midland park was LOADED with salt today. Perhaps see who their contractor is?

  10. Sure they will share it with their good neighbor Ridgewood.

  11. The village should fill the pothole with the compressed Christmas trees and leaves.

  12. every one is out of salt. so we all need to learn to drive slow, and monday the sun will be out to help us all.

  13. My new tire cost me $154 thanks to my foolish ride down Van Dien the other night.

    Stay away from Van Dien…
