Ridgewood NJ , Photos From Blessing of the Animals/Feast of St. Francis Event – Christ Episcopal Church, Ridgewood NJ – Saturday, October 6, 2012 .
Everyone was invited to bring their favorite pets: dogs, cats, rabbits, goldfish, stuffed animals . . .any beloved “creatures” who shared their home. A short service celebrating all animals was held, followed by individual blessings of each animal.

Some orphaned animals from the Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge, Inc. (RBARI) of Oakland, NJ who are eligible for adoption were brought to the event. Also, pets who were cremated and whose caregivers wished to have them placed in the Pet Memorial Garth were interred.
