Ridgewood NJ, A 12-year-old Bergenfield boy has given police a detailed account of the truck driven by a man suspected of luring him who is also suspected of a luring attempt in Westwood, borough police said in a statement.

State police have prepared a composite sketch of the suspect in Westwood, which was released last week.

“The boy told (Westwood) police a balding white man in his 50s, with gray hair, cracked teeth and possibly wearing a fake mustache was driving a Toyota pick-up whose body has been pieced together. The driver door is mint green. The fenders are white. The bed is red and rusting in sections. The hood has black coloring on it and does not appear to fit that model truck because the boy said he saw the engine.” http://www.northjersey.com/news/Police_release_description_of_suspect_in_Westwood_luring_report.html

According to the the boy, the man pulled along side him at about 6:15 p.m. on West Broad Street near Fairview Avenue. The man then offered the boy money to get in the truck, but the boy refused and ran off down Fairview Avenue. The boy said the driver followed him, so he ran into a back yard and watched the driver turn on South Prospect Avenue.

The boy picked out a composite sketch drawn after an attempted luring in Westwood on Oct. 18.
