Reader raises concerns over drinkability of Ridgewood Water

Glen_bridgeovertroubledwaters_theridgewoodblog

“I live on the East side of Ridgewood. Our water, even after filtering, both tastes and smells horrible. I think this part of Ridgewood has been converted to Suez water. Ridgewood water used to be so pure that pediatricians actually said you didn’t have to boil the water to make formulas! I grew up on water that had gone through a desalination plant and it was heavily chlorinated , but drinkable. I really can’t say that Ridgewood’s water is drinkable now.”

  1. I live on east side too, in the Twinney Pond area. I ‘ve lived here 40 years. The water is fine; no complaints.

By the way, or BTW, what’s goin on with that fence that was put up along Franklin Tpke behind the Airbrook building in the Park & Ride lot. Now you can’t walk through that wooded strip to Park & Ride.

I was told that walkers were first parkingn their cars in the medical building parking lot all day to avoid paying at Park & Ride and taking away customer space for the medical building.
Is that the reason for the fence? I did not get my info from an authority, just from a neighbor. For years that walkway was there. Does anybody know why the fence was put up? Is that part of Trump’s wall.

  2. I used to p in Twinny pond

  3. The water is crap

  4. The water, lately, tastes so over-chlorinated to the point I wouldn’t drink it from the tap, unless I had to. I filter it before drinking and cooking. Another reason why Ridgewood Water should be sold – how do you screw up water?

  5. I live on the east side and my water is fine.
