Whoever wrote that about Gwenn Hauck was on point. Why was she there in some kind of official capacity? Does she work for the Village? Is she an elected official? No, she does not and she is not. She is a VOLUNTEER on a committee. The event should have been run by an employee of the Village, not by a committee volunteer. Sorry, Mrs. Hauck, we no longer need or want you around. I was not at the duckie derby, but I am still very annoyed to read that she was so involved in it.
First–I was there all day and didnt even notice Gwen. (and I would have gone over to say hi if I had known she was there). It is not like she was on the mic all day or something so please stop with the BS.
Second–why would a tax payer want employees involved instead of volunteers????? This was all volunteers. Jacobson donated a bunch of stuff, firemen cooked, a nice woman did free face painting and volunteers manned the check-in. It was a great event. Tons of people. Great food. Kids loved it. It must have raised a bunch of money for the firemen or something.
Please dont criticize events where so many people worked hard to put on a great event on a really hot day because of your feelings towards one person. It diminishes the hard work of so many people in our community.
Gwenn, go home. And stay there

If you were there and did not see Gwen then perhaps your head was in your cell,phone . She was all,over the place. I am a village employee so I have to be careful,what I say. But I will say that she was all over, and yes she was at the microphone a lot.
