  1. Is this stupid thing, invented by Aronsohn for his construction union financial supporters, never going to go away? It needs not to exist. I can’t stand to even hear about it any more. Just reconfigure the poorly designed parking area to gain more spaces and leave it at that. Town should buy Ken Smith lot and build there.

  2. Please keep the focus on this issue, James. Many of us were under the impression that it had been killed off.

  3. So is the garage being built now? I thought this project was shelved.

  4. Stop with the reactionary knee jerk bullshit. Every time you post crap like this it clearly shows that your objective through fear is to scare everybody out of their wits because YOUR stuck in the 19th century in some fairytale “village”. Ridgewood is going forward without you. Either your in, our your OUT.

  5. Kill it. We do not need a garage.

  6. It was never killed and it was never shelved. Here’s the thing. The garage is needed and many many people know this except for the 4 dolts on this thread . Guess what? There’s lots More of us out here. You stopped the process once…it’s not going to happen again.

  7. @10:56, Well first, that garagezilla was killed and will never come back. We have respectful and reasonable people in charge now, thank God. I pretty much feel if the design is something they can stomach, I can as well.

However, re: your statement “The garage is needed and many many people know this except for the 4 dolts on this thread.” What do you mean by that? How do you envision a garage working or looking like? I see it as a place that the ground floor (as it is now, will be full of commuters during the day, restaurants thurs-sunday). The second level will be 1/2 full thurs-sunday nights and the rest of that floor and a third will be full of commuters. All this for extra rates (permanent rates) all throughout town and by the way those eating thurs-sunday nights won’t even be paying. Is that truly needed? We walk to the train so commuting is a non-issue.

  9. Not only was the garage not killed off, but the construction of the massive apartment projects is going to go forward. Urge your council people to stop the overdevelopment now!

  10. Yes, the massive garage was killed off but there was still agreement that a garage is needed. The Deputy Mayor has been working on this for a while. The vote was against the one that didn’t fit the footprint.
