Ridgewood NJ, Perhaps Evan Weitz hasn’t lived here long enough to realize that he’s plastering Paramus with his signs? Maybe if he ever once attended a council meeting or visited the village hall he could familiarize himself with a map of our great village.

His disrespect for our village-it’s look and feel, are evident in his decision to place signs in planters and leave them there no matter what residents feel about it. I mean, this is the man who has no problem with the rest of the town going to pot.

They’re placed in the PSEG Right of ways on Grove and at the exits to 17.Wonder if the person he has out doing his bidding (because we know he’s WAY to busy with his JOB and kids- that’s why he has never voted here, right. Amazing someone has actually voted LESS times than Janice Willet!!!!)

We wonder if who’s placing these signs is the same troll who is ripping DOWN all the Walsh, Hache and Voigt signs….?
Cameras everywhere these days, folks!!

  1. I’ve also seen his signs in Fair Lawn, on Saddle RIver Road, and in Glen Rock, on Prospect Street.

  2. He has no respect for anything. But who cares. He will not be elected and soon his name will be forgotten

  3. To laugh or to cry 🙁

  4. 10:15 am – he is using Paul Aronshon’s play book. He is being supported by same BIG group. You are underestimating the power of money.

  5. I really do not understand why he is running. He is not familiar with the town in many ways.

  6. All one needs to know about Mr. Weitz is that he’s never once attended a Council meeting or voted in a municipal election. He’s clearly been propped up by local developers despite his having no qualifications or experience to hold elected office. He reminds me of when Mr. Albano ran under similar circumstances with similarly weak credentials citing being too busy with his job to be able to vote or attend meetings. Mr. Albano was trounced in that election.

  7. Like him or not it’s actually a smart move. More Ridgewoodites will see them coming off of 17 than they would on sidestreets in The Village. The design stinks though.

  8. Whats his voting record in Ridgewood. Oh thats right he hasn’t voted in a municipal election. I guess he has a day job just like Big Al the Developers Friend.

  9. Don’t you get it yet?
Rules don’t apply to everyone in Ridgewood.

  10. “Like him or not it’s actually a smart move. More Ridgewoodites will see them coming off of 17 than they would on sidestreets in The Village” Completely disagree. Near schools, the grocery store etc. that is the most bang for your buck. Seeing as he is on the financial advisory committee and all, he should be aware of all the $$ in wasted exposures… Hard for him though because he does not have friends in town…why else liter all public spaces?

  11. I’m not sure he knows where Ridgewood stops and Paramus begins. After all he just moved here.

  12. Driving down Linwood Ave all I see are Walsh/Hache/Voight signs. You people have to be kidding. I can’t wait for this to be over just so to get rid of the ugly signs.

  13. Time for rebuilding

  14. Don’t worry, Evan, littering the landscape with campaign signs worked great for Cronk and Dowd and it will work as well for you.

  15. I saw one of his signs in Cliffside this afternoon….that’s way out of his coverage area, no ?

  16. Bad publicly is good too. You all are giving him name recognition while your candidate Bernie and Ramon are not doing anything for name recognition.

  17. So our jackass Deputy Mayor Pucciarelli was pontificating about the signs on Wednesday night in his usual condescending manner, about how they can legally be planted all over public property and of course pretending he has no idea who might still have signs up. And what does he say in the midst of his sermon?: “I think we are getting perilously close to having our say about who’s good and who’s not.” Say what Mr. Pucciarelli? Were you trying to say that this would be a terrible thing (the word “perilously” certainly implies such). You were saying that sitting council members should not say “who’s good and who’s not” from among the candidates? This was on Wednesday night, and your ridiculous letter of support for Willett Weitz and Brooks was already on file with the Ridgewood News for publication on Friday. So clearly you have absolutely no problem whatsoever with a sitting (although thank god lame duck) council member stating which candidates he prefers. You are so two-faced Mr. Pucciarelli, so smug and superior, so arrogant and assholic. Oh my God I cannot wait until you are gone. You and the two idiots you are aligned with.

  18. Shhhh. Could we please take this post down before he sees it. And please don’t tell the carpet bagger that Paramus and Ridgewood are different towns.

  19. Ridgewood has gone in the shitter as all the liberal New Yorkers moved here with thier piss poor attitudes and lack of respect.
    We never had political signs.
These morons actually put their garbage cans at the curb like NYC …then leave them there all week.
They come here for 10’years vote yes on every school budget raising our taxes, then move back to ny.
It used to be a nice respectful town now it’s pushy agressive rude New Yorkers .
