Ridgewood Police Chief says safety initiatives are working

As the “Stop, Look, Wave: Be Safe Be Seen” safety initiative gains speed, authorities say the village’s other efforts to curb pedestrian-motor vehicle accidents are succeeding.
Ridgewood Police Chief John Ward last month submitted a pedestrian accident review report to the Village Council, responding to council members’ requests to know the residency of all involved parties for every pedestrian-vehicle accident.






Going in to the CBD this morning at around 10am passing the high school there were many students jay walking and . The CBD had the usual people stepping out from between parked cars with there morning coffee. I will say that there seemed to be more police in the CBD than usual so maybe it is stating to work.
