Ridgewood NJ, As part of the One Book, One District initiative, Ridgewood Schools will host it’s first Tech Night for parents and guardians Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Benjamin Franklin Middle School, 7pm. Please join the presentation on the Ridgewood Public Schools’ use of educational technology and its security. Following the presentation will be breakout sessions led by school administrators on themes and topics discussed in Dr. Catherine Steiner-Adair’s book, The Big Disconnect: Protecting Childhood and Family Relationships in the Digital Age. Even if you have not yet had the opportunity to read the book, you will easily be able to participate in the discussions.

  1. Is this a joke. :Parents, grownups are GLUED to their smart phones. Is it any wonder kids pick up the habit.

  2. The little phone , virus monster, that has human- kind hooked.. Face to face conversations now cause extreme anxiety as you are impatient to look down at your little screen; you stare fixedly down as you cross the street oblivious of your surroundings.

    PLEASE TURN OFF YOUR PHONE you read before the movie begins. But for all intents and purposes you really can’t turn off your phone. IT’s embedded in your now mutated DNA. This IS THE BRAVE NEW WORLD. ha ha ha ha ha You thought you were so in control and powerful. IT SNEAKED UP on you. THIS is the IT , the Stephen KIng monster. Only it’s real. Happy Halloween. ha ha ha ha
