Ridgewood Village Council plans very ambitious agenda this week

Ridgewood NJ, In a highly unusual move the Village Council will hold a special, two-part work session with its regular council meeting in between
Village council members will be taking on a very full plate holding discussions on both the Ridgewood Chamber of Commerce proposed downtown parking garage.and also the proposed shade tree policy in the first part of the special work session from 7-745pm .
Next the council will then break for its regular meeting at 8 p.m., with a public hearing on the changes to Ridgewood’s traffic ordinance and their effect on areas surrounding several village schools.
Council members will then reconvene for a second work session. in which the council will discuss accessibility at Graydon Pool and the proposed migration by Ridgewood’s emergency services to a new narrow-band communication or radio system..
The discussion will include emergency services personnel as well as several consultants that have recommended the proposal that has a price tag of $1.5 million with potential grant money,paying anywhere from 80 to 90 percent of the project.The public will also be able to comment and time will be allotted for Q&A .
