Ridgewood NJ , The conservative base is showing Mitt Romney a new found respect , within 24 hours of Mitt Romney ‘s announcement of Paul Ryan as his running mate the Romney campaign raised $3.5 million in 24 hours according to Andrea Saul, an advisor to Romney, who tweeted this good news in the morning.( http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2012/08/12/Romney-Campaign-3M-24-Hours )
This is by far the most crystallizing event in the Romney campaign so far and helped the campaign raise the most money since the Supreme Court’s ObamaCare decision; when in the aftermath of the courts decision Romney raised $4.2 million within 24 hours.
This is a sharp contrast with Barack Obama’s announcement of Joe Biden 2008. In August of 2008, contributions to the Obama campaign actually declined from the previous month.
This is a contest for a qualified President not fund raising abilities.
The GOP will need a lot more.
