Ridgewood NJ , According to Tony Merlno at the Zoning Board as of right now it looks like the T-Mobile cell tower application is postponed indefinitely. The application by T-Mobile was looking for an extreme variance to construct a cell tower in the residential neighborhood in the area of Barnet/First/Maple.

Objection to this application had been as usual characterized a “Not-In-My-Back-Yard”(NIMBY)  ,but critics of the cell tower pointed out this tower comes nowhere close to fitting within the zoning requirements or physical character of the area. As an example it required a major use variance and extreme physical variances 300 to 400 percent in height..

The applicant will be required to send new notices to everyone should they decide to continue with their application.
