Thoughts on the parking garage
1. Lets look ant the Parking Garage Chamber Committee
a. One member owns property adjacent to the Hudson St lot along with a restaurant less the 200 ft from Hudson St lot.
b. One member is a realtor with extensive ties to downtown. He business is less then 50 ft from the lot that they want the Village to sell or manage ( Box Store)
c One member owns a business adjacent to the Walnut St lot. Political sign in his window for a current councilman re-election
d. One member own a building and failed business that is located between the two purposed garages.
e One member is a developer who previously involved with the failed Walnut st parking garage . Donated a large sum to a current Councilman re-election
They have no liability if this fails. It is all on the taxpayers of Ridgewood. The key phrase here is lets bond it for 30 years. Haven’t we heard this before ( BOED}
Read the resent article in the Record about box stores in Englewood
If we don’t build a garage then the bank building will never be sold. Is this the residents of Ridgewood responsibility? As long as the property taxes are being paid. If they default, then maybe Dom can finally get his pool or Village Hall can move there and we would have another baseball field where village Hall is now.That would make the sports people happy.

If building one or two parking garages and suggestions gets Dom his refurbished and profitable town swimming pool, I’m sure his has no objections.
It’s about time!
