      This is “fun blog,” not an extension of the town. To report missing lights or street signs, call the Signal Dept. at 201-857-5126. This phone number and much more information is available at the back of the Village calendar and on the village website.

      I recently left them a voicemail message stating that the street sign at my corner was present, but at a tilt. They fixed it very fast.

    We think that the mayor and council need to spend some money and have a tree contractor come in and help out the village with the pruning trees, because the village will never catch up. There must be 3 to 5 years behind. What’s the truth? another tree came down today in The Village shut down an intersection.

    New ordinance to restrict gas leaf blowers. Idiots. Landscaper costs will increase dramatically as it will take longer to maintain lawns. Just say no. Has nothing to do w noise…electric and rechargeable are just as loud…its the great climate change hoax but lets cut down 7 acres of trees.

      It is not a 12 month issue – if you make it impossible to deliver a service to homeowners at some profit they will raise rates endlessly .This is not a 12 month issue. Has anyone in the town taken into consideration the landscapers new investments in high speed mowers likely cutting both time and net exhaust discharge time wise.

      They will focus on surrounding towns if
      we regulate them to death in ridgewood. I think was changed is a higher user demand by new home owners buying very expensive homes of every size even in the former affordable
      Sections of our nice town .can’t have everything .example it’s leaf blowing season so get your earplugs ready if that bothers you .Hours of starting and Sundays off are important to taxpayers .

    So take away gas power leaf blowers but its ok to have 2-3 gas powered edgers , 2-3 lawn mowers per landscape job. Geez focus on real issues. This falls in the new garbage cans in cbd, the non impactful pedestrian plaza buckets

    We’ve heard today big changes about to come. Big cuts, across-the-board and budgets. With lack of Covid relief, funds, and health insurance cost exploding .
    Options on the table are two weeks of furloughs, or freezing pay increases, to avoid layoffs. Or big raises in taxes across-the-board which is unfavorable. Well, this is what happens when spending is out of control, especially on the big Astroturf. We think on expensive spending it should be voted on. We are spending another $7 million on West our own park, when we have pedestrian bridge that needs to be either repaired, or replaced, which will cost around 1 million some of these decisions are ridiculous. And you don’t even want me to mention Village owned buildings that are falling through their ass. The village should hire an outside construction engineering firm to look at all the buildings. Believe me they’re going to come up with millions top of millions the village knows about this, and they’re not doing any repairs and let everything just crumble apart , so in the end, there’s no repairing it’s just completely rebuilding replacing. And that’s going to cost millions some buildings you can’t even walk into, totally disgusting why supervision. We have rodent infested we have buildings that are full of rodents droppings. Unacceptable. Disgusting. And probably the village manager doesn’t know. Nothing about this.

    We blame the supervisors for not doing their house cleaning. No excuse at all. The village manager should walk through all buildings. Hopefully he will get things done. The last manager did zip on this problem.

    You’ know what as an employee our own Board of Health is not doing any inspections, so maybe we should just call on the county., or the state. This is our health. All village buildings need to be inspected everything garage, bathrooms, closets, not just walked through a building and close one eye. It’s bullshit us to stop.

    The manager needs to have all the Forman work with the crews. At times we are short on staffing and they need to pitch in more. They are working Forman and supervisors . That’s why we should have full rotation of employees throughout the village.

    Can you notify our manager to inspect the Dpw yard on Chestnut Street? The yard is a disgrace. As a resident that lives in the area and pay taxes this is unacceptable.

    Yes, why is that? Yard always so dirty. It’s kind of embarrassing that this is a village owned building. There’s always litter weeds all over the place. Just everything looks dirty. Clean the windows, wash down the doors , do something. Never seen it look so dirty who is in charge of this location. Obviously where it is not doing their job.
