Have you been enjoying your Thanksgiving turkey leftovers? Do you have a preference for the white meat? If you do, then according to Slate, writer Ron Rosenbaum racism could explain why you prefer the white meat to the dark meat.

Frankly I have always been a breast man

PRAVDA.RU : American capitalism gone with a whimper
27.04.2009

It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American decent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people.

True, the situation has been well prepared on and off for the past century, especially the past twenty years. The initial testing grounds was conducted upon our Holy Russia and a bloody test it was. But we Russians would not just roll over and give up our freedoms and our souls, no matter how much money Wall Street poured into the fists of the Marxists.

Those lessons were taken and used to properly prepare the American populace for the surrender of their freedoms and souls, to the whims of their elites and betters.

First, the population was dumbed down through a politicized and substandard education system based on pop culture, rather then the classics. Americans know more about their favorite TV dramas then the drama in DC that directly affects their lives. They care more for their “right” to choke down a McDonalds burger or a BurgerKing burger than for their constitutional rights. Then they turn around and lecture us about our rights and about our “democracy”. Pride blind the foolish.

Then their faith in God was destroyed, until their churches, all tens of thousands of different “branches and denominations” were for the most part little more then Sunday circuses and their televangelists and top protestant mega preachers were more then happy to sell out their souls and flocks to be on the “winning” side of one pseudo Marxist politician or another. Their flocks may complain, but when explained that they would be on the “winning” side, their flocks were ever so quick to reject Christ in hopes for earthly power. Even our Holy Orthodox churches are scandalously liberalized in America.

The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama. His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His spending and money printing has been a record setting, not just in America’s short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more then another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Wiemar Republic and at worst Zimbabwe.

Texans going wild with ‘secession fever,’ bumper stickers everywhere

Texans going wild with ‘secession fever,’ bumper stickers everywhere
November 25,2012

Move over, “Everything is bigger in Texas.” The Lone Star state has a new favorite bumper sticker and it’s a simple one-worder: “Secede.” Yes, it appears that “secession fever,” as some columnists are calling it, has taken over the red-leaning state following the post-election petitions — and sales of the stickers are just one sign. Among others, a perennial GOP candidate named Larry Scott Kilgore has announced he’s running for governor and will legally change his name to Larry SECEDE Kilgore — yes, with “secede” in all-caps. His web page also declares, “Secession! All other issues can be dealt with later.” [Source]

N.J. bill would let lottery winners maintain privacy up to a year

STATE HO– USE BUREAU
THE RECORD

New Jersey Lottery winners expect instant riches. But along with their money comes the attention, sometimes unwanted, of newfound friends and companies that say they want to help manage all that cash.

Each year, for-profit companies make an average of 70 records requests to the New Jersey Lottery, seeking the names and contact information for lottery winners, according to a review of the document requests by The Record. The lottery is obliged to hand over the information, which is a public record.

The companies say some people find the lump-sum payments or financial advice they offer helpful.

But now, against the backdrop of a record-breaking $425 million Powerball jackpot this week, one assemblyman has raised the question: Should these winners be shielded from the public?

MVC extends deadline for motorists affected by Sandy

TRENTON — Motorists affected by Superstorm Sandy will get a break from the state.

The New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission announced that residents whose driver’s license, registration or vehicle inspection was up for renewal last month have been given a 30-day extension.

“Rather than having these customers make a special trip to FEMA’s centers just for a motor vehicle issue, our entire staff is ready to assist at any one of our 39 agencies statewide,” said Raymond P. Martinez, commission chairman and chief administrator. “We’ve implemented temporary service measures in our agencies to help those with special circumstances caused by Sandy.”

Under the administrative order, anyone who is the holder of a valid New Jersey driver’s license or permit that was due to expire between Oct. 29 and Oct. 31 and was not renewed can continue to exercise his or her driving privileges until Nov. 30. Renewals of vehicle registrations and inspections due that same time period are also extended until Nov. 30.

Obama faces huge challenge in setting up health insurance exchanges

Obama faces huge challenge in setting up health insurance exchanges
By Elise Viebeck – 11/25/12 02:45 PM ET

The Obama administration faces major logistical and financial challenges in creating health insurance exchanges for states that have declined to set up their own systems.

The exchanges were designed as the centerpiece of President Obama’s signature law, and are intended to make buying health insurance comparable to booking a flight or finding a compatible partner on Match.com.

Sixteen states — most of them governed by Republicans — have said they will not set up their own systems, forcing the federal government to come up with one instead.
Another five states said they want a federal-state partnership, while four others are considering partnerships.

It’s a situation no one anticipated when the Affordable Care Act was written. The law assumed states would create and operate their own exchanges, and set aside billions in grants for that purpose.

PRAVDA.RU : Obama has been re-elected for a 2nd term by an illiterate society
Obama’s Soviet Mistake
19.11.2012
By Xavier Lerma

Putin in 2009 outlined his strategy for economic success. Alas, poor Obama did the opposite but nevertheless was re-elected. Bye, bye Miss American Pie. The Communists have won in America with Obama but failed miserably in Russia with Zyuganov who only received 17% of the vote. Vladimir Putin was re-elected as President keeping the NWO order out of Russia while America continues to repeat the Soviet mistake.

After Obama was elected in his first term as president the then Prime Minister of Russia, Vladimir Putin gave a speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland in January of 2009. Ignored by the West as usual, Putin gave insightful and helpful advice to help the world economy and saying the world should avoid the Soviet mistake.

Recently, Obama has been re-elected for a 2nd term by an illiterate society and he is ready to continue his lies of less taxes while he raises them. He gives speeches of peace and love in the world while he promotes wars as he did in Egypt, Libya and Syria. He plans his next war is with Iran as he fires or demotes his generals who get in the way.

Morgan Stanley’s Doom Scenario: Major Recession in 2013

Published: Tuesday, 20 Nov 2012 | 6:46 AM ET Text Size
By: Deepanshu Bagchee
Managing Digital Editor, CNBC International

The global economy is likely to be stuck in the “twilight zone” of sluggish growth in 2013, Morgan Stanley has warned, but if policymakers fail to act, it could get a lot worse.

The bank’s economics team forecasts a full-blown recession next year, under a pessimistic scenario, with global gross domestic product (GDP) likely to plunge 2 percent.

“More than ever, the economic outlook hinges upon the actions taken or not taken by governments and central banks,” Morgan Stanley said in a report.

Under the bank’s more gloomy scenario, the U.S. would go over the “fiscal cliff” leading to a contraction in U.S. GDP for the first three quarters of 2013. In Europe, the bank’s pessimistic scenario assumes a failure of the European Central Bank (ECB) in cutting rates and a delay of its bond-buying program.

Why Is The Latino Poverty Rate So High?

Why Is The Latino Poverty Rate So High?
Rachel Sheffield
November 24, 2012 at 10:00 am

It has been reported recently that the poverty rate among Latinos has reached 28 percent.

The number, based on a new poverty measure by the Obama Administration, should be interpreted with caution, as explained here and here. However, the overall point that more American Latino families, and Americans in general, are struggling to achieve self-sufficiency is troubling.

What’s not mentioned in news reports, however, is the greatest driver of child poverty in the U.S. today: unwed childbearing. Among Latinos, unmarried parent families are roughly three times as likely to be poor as married families. Tragically, over half of Latino children born today are born outside of marriage. The rate has increased from less than 40 percent in the 1990s to more than half—nearly 53 percent—today.

These facts are rarely mentioned, and few attempts made to address the matter. Instead, big government proponents clamor that the antidote to poverty is greater government welfare spending. Unfortunately, these programs do not help people overcome poverty. Today, the U.S. spends roughly five times the amount necessary to pull every poor person out of poverty, and welfare is the fastest-growing part of government spending, exceeding even the cost of defense spending. However, poverty rates have not declined.
