Glen Rock NJ, an alarming incident in Glen Rock, has prompted an ongoing police investigation after a motorist targeted a crossing guard who was ensuring the safety of children in a crosswalk.
The incident occurred at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26, at the busy intersection of Rock Road and Maple Avenue. The driver of a red 2011 Chrysler 200 reportedly honked repeatedly, shouted, and then proceeded to slowly drive toward the crossing guard as they were helping children safely cross the street.
Safety of Children and Crossing Guard Uncompromised
Thankfully, no one was injured during the incident. The children under the crossing guard’s care managed to cross safely despite the motorist’s aggressive behavior.
The crossing guard, acting swiftly, captured a photograph of the vehicle and its male driver. Authorities will use this evidence to confirm the individual’s identity and proceed with filing charges.
Glen Rock Police Investigating
The Glen Rock Police Department is actively investigating the incident and expects to file charges against the driver once the investigation is complete.
A Stark Reminder of Roadway Safety
This unsettling event serves as a reminder of the critical role crossing guards play in protecting children and maintaining safety in school zones. Aggressive or reckless driving in these areas poses serious risks, not only to crossing guards but also to the children they are safeguarding.
Glen Rock Police encourage residents to report any suspicious or reckless driving behavior in school zones to help prevent similar incidents in the future.

what a fcking aHole
Take this asshole out back
He must have been in a hurry to get back home to Ridgewood.
Duh, no one in Ridgewood drives a 2011 car.
Really?
Ridgewood has a homeless encampment at its bus shelter.
You live in a 1990’s fantasy.
Sorry- Ridgewood isn’t Greenwich.
Point taken, but just because some riff raff has been accumulating at the dilapidated bus stop doesn’t invalidate his point. Ridgewood *residents* are still economically advanced enough not to slum around town in some obsolete old beater. Now if only they could buy some real class and a clue, but that’s a different story.
☝️ we found him, folks. ☝️
I’m guess the crossing guard didn’t bother to make eye contact with the motorist before pied pipering the kids into intersection, because we don’t behave like that without good reason.
Not saying it’s the case here but a lot of these guards are on a serious power trip. They think just because they have some fancy vest and get to waive around a big fancy sign and that they’re protecting kids that they can just boss drivers around. Like we have to listen to them. To them! GTFO
crossing guards on a power trip , really?… good grief
They’re mad with power, James! MAD I TELLS YA!
“Like we have to listen to them”
Yes you do.
I don’t think so, punk.
