An Overwhelming Majority of Americans Say Summer Jobs Important for Teens

Ridgewood NJ, Most Americans believe it’s important for young people to work during the summer, and don’t think it will be very difficult for teens to find jobs in the current economy.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 86% of American Adults believe it is important for young people to have jobs during the summer when they are out of school, including 56% who say it’s Very Important. Only nine percent (9%) don’t think summer jobs for young people are important. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
