Englewood Cliffs NJ , a fatal crash on the Palisades Interstate Parkway in Englewood Cliffs led to the closure of all northbound lanes near Exit 1 (Palisade Avenue) on Monday evening, according to authorities.
Crash Investigation Underway
The New Jersey Department of Transportation reported the lane closures at approximately 6:15 p.m. via 511nj.org.
The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office confirmed that its Fatal Accident Task Force is assisting the Palisades Interstate Parkway Police Department in the investigation.
“The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office was notified by the Palisades Interstate Parkway Police Department that a fatal crash occurred on the highway earlier this evening and requested the assistance of the Bergen County Fatal Accident Task Force,” said Jeff Angermeyer, Deputy Chief of Detectives.
Ongoing Investigation
Authorities have not yet released further details regarding the crash, including the identity of the victim or possible causes.
