Glen Rock NJ, The final totals from the July 7th NJ-5 primary are in, with key highlights including:
Arati earned 26,432 votes (33.52%) after narrowing the margin significantly by averaging 45% of the vote in late vote-by-mail ballots and on Election Day. Arati earned the most votes of any Democratic primary challenger to an incumbent representative in at least the last decade in New Jersey.
Arati won the Election Day vote in 16 towns: Paramus, Ridgewood, Glen Rock, Mahwah, Vernon, River Edge, Ringwood, Closter, Newton, Emerson, Harrington Park, Northvale, Ho-Ho-Kus, Sussex Borough, Andover Borough, and Rockleigh.
Arati won Glen Rock (where she is a Council Member) with 57% of the vote.
Arati Kreibich released the following statement: “Our campaign has scored a huge success by mobilizing a broad local and national coalition to win unprecedented electoral support for a real Democratic agenda in North Jersey. These impressive results—amid historic Democratic primary turnout in NJ-5—prove that New Jersey progressives have the momentum.

Bottom line is that the Dr. lost, big time.
It is not unusual for a newcomer not to succeed the first time. She did amazingly well.
So, the aptly named Ms. Krebitch won her primary? God help us all!
Now she’s stirring up trouble in RIdgewood. Sour grapes.
