River Edge NJ, Bergen County Historical Society volunteers identified and cleared invasive vines around the Von Steuben House.

The Society thanked volunteers in a Facebook post, “a huge thank you to everyone that came out this morning to tackle invasive vines at Historic New Bridge Landing. By trimming back the vines now, we’re hoping to save the diversity of trees, and prevent the spread of the invasive plants throughout the year. Further manual control later this year will help keep the vines at bay. Miss today? Don’t worry we’re already scheduling an event for March! Thanks again to everyone who came out.”
