Black Bear Sighted in Twp. of Washington and Ridgewood on Monday

Twp.  of Washington NJ, a black bear sighting was reported in the area of East Glen Avenue and Hampshire Road.  It should be noted that the bear was not observed by Officers at this time.  Please stay away and DO NOT for any reason engage with it. Contact the police department if it is acting aggressively towards any people or animals.

Ridgewood Police are reporting that there have been reports of a bear sighting in the Glen School neighborhood this morning. Please avoid going near the bear. Typically, these animals will move through and return to a more forested area within a few hours.
