Ridgewood NJ, a structural engineer and an architect recently hired by the Village of Ridgewood have separately determined that Van Neste Square’s bus terminal building is structurally unsound and unsuitable for repair. As a result of these findings, the Village has made plans to demolish the structure within the coming 30-45 days.
The Village Council has directed Village Manager Keith Kazmark to have options for replacement structure(s), along with previously prepared plans to relocate bus terminal operations to the Garber Square/NJ Transit train station area, available for Council review and discussion. These matters will likely be included as agenda items for the Council’s Public Work Session in December.

Perfect location for a barber shop.
Will pieces of the historic building (bricks, wood molding, etc.) be available for purchase following its demolition?
Every vacancy apparently is a good place for a barbershop.
14 and counting from Whole Foods to Renato’s.
Buses traveling under the over pass and making turns around the train station cramped parking spaces during rush hour and during farmers market. How unsafe.
Will be a traffic nightmare
Lots of busses on Sunday where the Farmers Market will be a problem?
Say what? Do you want a piss soaked brick for a memento?
I lost my virginity on the floor in there.
There’s a window in town for every pee brick.
highways are on the east side of the CBD. what moron would propose moving it to the west side and by the busy train station? the underpass will become a nightmare
I remember moving to Ridgewood in 1995. I was taken with its classy look, the feeling that I had moved on up. Then I had to take a bus one day and decided to sit in the waiting room. OMG. What a crap hole!
I told you all a few years ago. That place needs to be replaced, it’s been a shit all for the past 20 years, people sleeping inside pissing shedding, doing drugs drinking, no lights inside no heat embarrassing. I’m surprised the building didn’t fall on someone.
“Historic building?!” Lol
