Calls Mount to Shut Down “Never Trumper ” Lincoln Project

Washington DC, the Lincoln Project, a group formed little more than a year ago by a band of anti-Trump Republicans creepers, losers  and grifters  (aka Never Trumpers ), is facing calls to shut it down amid allegations of a toxic and abusive culture at the organization.

Critics have called the group ,”the incarnation of evil. Almost everyone perceives them as grifters making bank off the liberal neurotic hate of Donald Trump. They are failed deep state GOP operatives who were denied inclusion in any capacity by the Trump administration. Most of the GOP is delighted to see these unethical grifters finally exposed.”

So far, two former top officials at the Lincoln Project have backed the idea of closing down the group, including one of its co-founders, New Jersey’s George Conway, who stepped away from the project last summer. Kurt Bardella, who left his role as a senior adviser for the Lincoln Project last week, has also called for the group to shutter.

Others put it more bluntly ,”In 2016 Donald Trump was elected president. After the election nothing was working to get Trump out of office so some republican swamp creatures band together to launch a smear campaign. Democrats are ecstatic as “republicans” smearing Trump has the appearance of credibility. In  2020 Joe Biden becomes president. The Lincoln project has exhausted it’s usefulness so democrats leak the story, exposing the swamp slime.”

Trouble really started on January 11, Author Ryan Girdusky published an article titled “The Lincoln Project’s Predator” detailing John Weaver ‘s inappropriate messages to young men on Jan. 11. One young man, a college student, said he had an uncomfortable phone call with Weaver, who he said was dropping sexual innuendos and appeared to be drinking.

On January 31, The New York Times published a story on Jan. 31 reporting that Weaver has been accused of harassment by 21 men, including an alleged victim who was a minor when Weaver first made contact with him. The Lincoln Project disavowed Weaver shortly after.

“John Weaver led a secret life that was built on a foundation of deception at every level. He is a predator, a liar, and an abuser,” the Lincoln Project said in a statement. “We extend our deepest sympathies to those who were targeted by his deplorable and predatory behavior. We are disgusted and outraged that someone in a position of power and trust would use it for these means.”

Since then, the Lincoln Project’s troubles have only deepened. Allegations have surfaced that the group’s leaders knew about Weaver’s behavior far earlier than they have publicly let on.

Meanwhile, eight former employees and associates have signed on to an open letter asking to be released from their nondisclosure agreements, a move that would allow them to speak publicly about their experiences at the group. The Lincoln Project has said that those who wish to be released from their NDAs should contact the group directly.

At the same time, Jennifer Horn, the sole woman among the Lincoln Project’s co-founders, resigned earlier this month amid contract negotiations. In a statement issued last week, Horn said that the group’s leadership had “rejected outright” her demand that they “properly address the Weaver issue publicly and issue a call to action to take on sexual harassment and power imbalance/exploitation issues.”

The group  raked in more than $87 million during the 2020 election cycle and spent nearly $82 million, primarily on expansive and “attention-grabbing advertising campaigns” that took on what the group believed was Trump’s corruption of the Republican Party and conservatism. At times, those ads delved into personal attacks that excited many Trump critics and angered his allies.

Questions have also arisen over the group’s finances, throughout the 2020 cycle,the group routed tens of millions of dollars of donations  to firms run by its co-founders.

The fact is while some people like liberals and some people like conservatives most perceive the Lincoln Project as a group of back stabbing low lives.
