Rutherford NJ, Rutherford’s Grace Episcopal Church is pleased to announce its third annual outreach, “Grace’s Closet” to area students who may want to attend prom this season, but who may be  unable to afford outfits and accessories. Tuxedos and suits have been added this year. Rutherford NJ, when I was a kid I would often go dirt bike riding on this rail strip ,now the Open Space Institute (OSI) and officials from Bergen County today announced the acquisition of a former rail corridor linking the communities of Rutherford and East Rutherford.  Permanent protection of the 1.2-mile-long property is the first step in building an 11-acre public park in this densely populated area.

Rutherford NJ, Police are investigating the death of a pedestrian who was struck and killed by a NJ Transit train in Rutherford on Saturday morning. According to NJ TRANSIT the pedestrian was struck by a Bergen County Line No. 1854 train, which left Waldwick at 7:35 a.m. and was due to arrive in Hoboken at 8:20 a.m.

According to Rutherford Police Chief John Russo who told Patch the vehicle, a two-door BMW Sedan, was traveling westbound on Marginal Road between Lincoln Avenue and Wheaton Place at 3 p.m.
