Washington DC, on Tuesday Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe declassified Russian intelligence assessment . The extraordinary disclosure, released to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) earlier Tuesday, rankled Democrats, who said the move effectively put Russian disinformation into the public sphere in order to boost President Donald Trump’s  claims about the government’s efforts to investigate Russian interference in the 2016 election.

According to the release, former CIA Director John Brennan briefed former President Obama on Hillary Clinton’s “plan” to tie the Trump campaign to Russia as a means of distracting the public from her private email server scandal before the 2016 election, according to newly declassified documents.

Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe on Tuesday declassified Brennan’s handwritten notes along with a CIA memo showing that officials referred the alleged scheme to the FBI for potential investigation.

Democrats and the media were quick to counter , Ratcliffe said in a statement: “To be clear, this is not Russian disinformation and has not been assessed as such by the Intelligence Community. I’ll be briefing Congress on the sensitive sources and methods by which it was obtained in the coming days.”

  1. This whole accusation is being sourced from Russian intel – allegedly our enemy. Why are you so gullible?

  2. This whole thing is outrageous but is only getting airtime on places like Fox. The MSM is not giving this an inch and the majority of people are still firmly conditioned in the belief that Trump won because he was in cahoots with Russia. The whole Obama/Clinton aspect of this is terrible and I just cannot believe the terrible bias that is going on this election cycle in the news media.

  3. Trump should have released this info months ago, timing is very late. People have started to vote and it may be too late to change anyone’s mind at this point in time.
To the first commenter: I don’t believe Russia is US’s enemy or worst enemy. You were fed this theory all your life and you continue to force yourself to believe that because it fits your party’s narrative. Maybe in the 80s it was but in today’s reality it would be smart to be allies. No american soldier has lost life from any sort of conflict with Russia. In the meantime 200000 lost their life through chinavirus and many more are killed in their own soil by illegal and violent immigrants.
