It is now being reported that possibly hundreds of thousands of dollars in fees that should have been billed in connection with Village provided emergency ambulance transportation, and/or treatment, was neither billed nor collected because Emergency Services volunteers failed to process the required documentation.
Now the staff of The Ridgewood Blog fully understands why Village Manager Heather Mailander refused to appoint a new Emergency Services chief, and directed instead that the entire Emergency Services organization report in through the career fire department.
The Village has contracted with a Trenton based law firm (to the tune of $36k) in an effort to collect the monies due taxpayers.
