Police Chief Thomas Greeley told NorthJersey.com,  “It’s really going to allow us to follow up on criminal activity, but since we’re monitoring major intersections, we can also see major crashes and we’ll be able to see what’s going on faster and respond.”

Key traffic intersections were picked after a lot of thought, with attention focused on streets that act as entrance and exit points to the city. The Englewood City Council approved the purchase through a Bergen County co-op with $359,730 of forfeiture funds, or money seized by police during criminal activity.
