Former Governor Chris Christie is Expected to Announce Next Week that he is going to run for President

Trenton NJ, former Governor Chris Christie is expected to announce next week that he is going to run for president. The Washington Post’s Aaron Blake writes that despite abysmal poll numbers, “signs are building that Christie will again decide to run for president at what is decidedly the wrong time — even more than 2016 was. And while he has insisted this isn’t just a kamikaze mission to take down Donald Trump, it’s difficult to see how it could amount to much else.”

The Ridgewood blog reported in February of 2022 that the former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie had scolding words last Sunday for his one-time ally and friend, Donald Trump.

“He actually told the truth by accident,” Christie said on ABC’s This Week, “he wanted the election to be overturned.”

Christie’s no stranger to liars and conmen. He came face to face with the best almost 20 years ago.

That’s when our own local and notorious celebrity, Thomas “The King of Con” Giacomaro, pled guilty in 2003 to money laundering, mail fraud, de facto ownership, tax evasion—you name it, he pled it.

Christie was the new US Attorney for New Jersey at the time and boasted about the arrest. His office sent out an official press release saying, “Unfortunately [Giacomaro] was very good at his con-artist craft…the giant pyramid scheme collapsed on investors.”

The following year when Giacomaro was sentenced to 14 years in prison, Christie took a final jab at “The King” on an ominous day, Friday the 13th, as he went to prison.

“He’s an extraordinary con man,” said Christie, “but today, his luck ran out.”

Producers are sure to interview Christie for the upcoming docuseries on Giacomaro’s life, to be filmed in North Jersey this summer. The series is based on the memoir, The King of Con: How a Smooth-Talking Jersey Boy Made and Lost Billions, Baffled the FBI, Eluded the Mob, and Lived to Tell the Crooked Tale.

  1. We’ve been looking at the best prospect for president in the last 40 years and we will likely pass over him again. But if we were serious about saving this country we would nominate and elect Rand Paul.

    1. AMEN!

  2. Don’t want him as my president.

    1. I don’t think you have anything to worry about

  4. We can learn the lessons of the RINO candidates… McCain, Romney, Ryan… no thanks we need to win elections

  5. Keep bitchin’ about Christie as we all pay Bridget Kelly’s $7 million legal bill. And because of all of your screaming about a “traffic Jam” we ended up with Trump and Biden. You should all be proud of yourselves. You boobs would vote for Dianne Feinstein if she ran against Christie.
