Hackensack NJ, City of Hackensack Fire officials reported that Friday morning at approximately 9am City of Hackensack Engine 5, Rescue 1 and Deputy 3 responded to a reported motor vehicle accident with rollover at Route 4 West and Hackensack Avenue.
Upon arrival firefighters found a vehicle overturned into a public service utility pole snapping the pole in two places. Both occupants extricated themselves from the vehicle prior to the fire department’s arrival. Firefighters provided first aid and checked both patients for injuries. Teaneck ambulance took over care and transported two patients to Hackensack University Medical Center for treatment. PSE&G electric arrived on scene to make repairs to the damaged utility pole. City tow removed the vehicle from the scene. Hackensack Police, Teaneck Police and Bergen County Sheriff Department diverted traffic around the scene. The Shops at Riverside Security Officers shut down a portion of their parking lot until repairs are completed.
I wonder if the crash was as a result of distracted driving looking at the giant billboard. Same thing will happen if they put this on Route 17.
Nope. Any such accident in Richwood would be accomplished with more panache.
After all, it is Richwood!
I think this indicates the need for cars to be designed to be driven on their sides so that they become upright in the normal run of the mill accident…………………………………………
