Ridgefield Park NJ, a late Friday morning, 11/04, motor vehicle crash in the local lanes of Route 80 westbound at Mile Marker 67.0 in Ridgefield Park resulted in the temporary closure of all westbound local lanes while emergency crews worked to aid crash victims and to position a flatbed tow truck to remove a heavily damaged SUV.

At least one (1) victim, who appeared to have sustained non-life threatening injuries, was observed on a stretcher being wheeled to a waiting ambulance for transport to a local hospital. Initial reports were that an individual was ejected from a vehicle onto the highway. Those reports proved to be unfounded. Police at the scene did not indicate how many individuals were injured in the mishap. NJDOT repair crews were called to replace a light pole that was downed by the careening SUV.
