Ridgewood NJ, Gannett, which publishes USA Today and North Jersey Media is America’s largest newspaper chain says it will almost eliminate op-eds and candidate endorsements.
The reason? Gannett believes the liberal slant of editorializing is “repelling readers.”

Gannett has also concluded that “readers don’t want us to tell them what to think.”
We thought it was highly revealing that Gannett’s editors arrogantly believe that their readers are not literate enough to distinguish between editorials and objective “news.”
In this day and age almost all objective “news” comes with a systemic left bias (see the item above) and so readers don’t know what is opinion and what is hard news.
A Pew Research poll last year found that only 12 percent of Americans had “a lot of trust” in national news organizations – and for good reason.
The left leaning liberal turd of a paper has been NOTHING but a mouthpiece for the liberals since I can recall. Other than the obituaries, there is nothing useful for a Bergen county resident
I stopped subscribing years ago as I refuse to support any media outlet that is one sided.
They spent years going after Christie
They spent years going after Trump
No mention of the corrupt Biden clan, Hunters laptop etc.
No mention that Bidens war on fossil fuel has given us record inflation and DOUBLE gas prices.
Imagine that with the recent attempt on a Supreme court justice’s life, its buried within the paper instead of being front page news. That says it all.
When they go out of business, I’ll find something else to paper train my puppy with.
“…but her emails!” Hahahahahaha
Gannett bought out the BERGEN WRETCHED and the local rags that they also published. The local rags USED to contain some news, but they suddenly became a pile of advertisements contain in a few sheets of “newspaper.” Now the only things worthwhile are the Burger King coupons.
The purchase only made the WRETCHED worse, and it was bad for years before.
In grad school near 50 years ago, I had a labor prof who was the head of the BC Democrats. He told us that the general consensus was the it would be an insult to a dead fish to be wrapped in the WRETCHED.
I gave up The Record more than 3 years ago. It became USA Today and that’s not good.
I stopped NYT delivery a few days after Trump got elected when the Times issued an ‘apology’ for letting Trump win.

Guess they’re not so arrogant.
Pray to God that they also stop publishing letters to the editor from Jeff Voigt.
