Glen Rock NJ, a calm Sunday afternoon in Glen Rock took a dramatic turn on December 8th when a resident of Demarest Street spotted smoke rising from a wooded area just north of Faber Field. Acting swiftly, the resident dialed 911, alerting authorities to what would soon be classified as a suspicious outdoor fire.

The Glen Rock Fire Department responded promptly, extinguishing the small fire with water-filled extinguishers. The fire originated on the walking surface of a wooden footbridge in the area. Nearby, a plastic bottle suspected to have contained gasoline was discovered, raising concerns about potential foul play.
Collaboration with Bergen County Sheriff’s Office
Given the circumstances, the Glen Rock Police Department sought assistance from the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office K9 and Bureau of Criminal Investigation Divisions to thoroughly investigate the scene.
