Glen Rock NJ, according to Business Administrator Lenora Benjamin the borough of Glen Rock created a program called Big Sweep to ease the challenge of fall leaf-raking for its older residents by connecting seniors with volunteers willing to take on the annual leaf-raking task.
“We have a number of repeat requests,” Benjamin said. “We do our best to match them up with available volunteer groups who also register with us.”
Volunteers and seniors can register to participate in future Big Sweep events at Borough Hall with Deana Scardigno, 201-670-3956 or email dscardigno@glenrocknj.net
A little too late, more snow coming Thursday.
Rakes better than horrible blowers.
I get it, the noise is annoying .
What a nice thoughtful program that Glen Rock has to have volunteers to help out seniors!
Would be nice if Ridgewood did the same.
Hurry up it’s gonna snow Thursday
