Glen Rock Nj, on Saturday May 21st at 10:35 AM ,Glen Rock Police Officers were dispatched to a residence on the 100 block of S. Highwood Avenue on a reported burglary. The resident reported that while they slept overnight someone had entered their home, sometime after 11:00 PM. It appeared that the unknown actor entered through the kitchen window and took $400 in cash from a wallet in the adjacent dining room. Nothing else in the house was disturbed.
The resident, who had noticed items knocked off the kitchen windowsill, initially thought that their cat had knocked the items over and cleaned up the area. It was not until they went outside and noticed a garbage bin under the window that they realized the home had been entered.
The matter has been referred to the Glen Rock Detective Bureau for further investigation.
My ADT Service would have deterred these buggers. $60 per month including cameras.
my simpli safe $15 per month
We are told not to leave pocketbooks or wallets around, but in this case maybe it was good that the person took the cash and left without poking around more. Could have been much worse. Still, very worrying.
Even in the summer I close and lock my first-floor windows before going to bed. I suppose there are other ways to get in.
